      Hi Mandy,
I use a facebook page for my offline business that directs interested people to my website /blog.
Today I posted about a local Expo on my Facebook page. I will also post about the new Chamber of Commerce website that has my website url.
I am getting to know local people thru being a member of the Chamber of Commerce and then my business. Thanks for your comments.

  4. Although a presence on the right social networks is important, running a website with a blog gives your business a home. Without it’s kind of like a retail business putting up billboards all over town but not having a sign on their shop front.

      Hi Sue,
I agree, a website with a blog that is updated consistently, and that is the key word, is very much like a old style billboards and no sign on your shop’s frontage. Thanks for your comments

  5. I’ve been blogging for over 7 years now and couldn’t agree more with the power behind a well-managed blog, with the emphasis on “well-managed”. I still see a lot of people put up an attractive site or blog and post only sporadically and that pretty much defeats the whole purpose. Thanks for the inspiration!

      Hi Marguita,
Well managed means to me updated on a regular basis, all plugins checked periodically, links checked with a plugin, comments answered consistently. It’s a lot of work to be a well-manged blog. We in PAC do just that with our blogs. Thanks for your comment.

  6. A well managed blog is tantamount to a beautiful brick and mortar store of the past.

  11. Hi Kathryn,

As a blogger for about 6 or 7 years, you sure have given sage advice here. A blog is your “home” base for your business. It is a place where one can brand their business and then share it on social media. Even when offline we can share it as sort of a resume of what we do and who we are.

Thanks, sage advice huh? Your right, of course, your blog is your home or storefront for your business.
I am working on new branding, something more feminine with beautiful flowers appealing to women.
I share on social media every day as I am sure you do as well. When I went to a local business expo last weekend
I was handing out my business cards which had my site url on it of course. Thanks for commenting.
