What is Pinterest Marketing? It’s getting your content seen and is now going into Primetime. Traffic time for bloggers and online business owners!
Here are some awesome facts about this huge search engine.
Yes Pinterest is a Search Engine, but not just like Google.
1. Pins last forever it seems, for weeks, months, even years after you pin an image.
2. Inspiration on steroids! If you spend a few mins on Pinterest you will see something that impresses you enough to go read the article on the blog that it came from. That is free promotion for blog owners!
So What Exactly is Pinterest? (If you are new to Pinterest read this article)
It’s a VISUAL SEARCH ENGINE and works much the same as Google. It is the 3rd largest search engine, after Google and YouTube. So what do search engines use? Yes, keywords! That is exactly how Pinterest works as well. If you want to rank your business or your website or blog in the search results on Pinterest you need to be extremely targeted with the keywords that you use…
Where to use your keywords.Your name on Pinterest. In your description of your profile. In your specific board titles. Board descriptions and overlays on your images. Long tail keywords in board descriptions, alt tags, meta descriptions, snippets.
Alt tags. Pin descriptions pull from the alt tag. Adding tags to images. Alt Text before Description. Alternative text from the Caption. Use the Yoast plugin for WP to change your Meta Descriptions as setting at the bottom of each page and post. Snippet previews seen under the title and URL on listings
